Old pictures from Suriname (and recent ones)

From my sister in law, J. Essed-Bemer, I obtained a family album with pictures of Suriname from about the year 1905. The photographer probably is Eugen Klein, who lived in Paramaribo from 1897 onwards and sold this kind of pictures (see for comparable pictures: Fotografie in Suriname 1839-1939, uitgeverij Fragment Amsterdam 1990).

Recent pictures from Suriname

From Hedy van Dorp I received some photographs taken between 1979 and 1997. The quality has been affected by compressing them to files of between 15 and 40 kbyte. Hedy has the copyright for these pictures.
