Black-bellied Cuckoo

A photo of a Black-bellied Cuckoo made by Dominiek Plouvier in July 2009 at Babunhol. This cuckoo has a colorful head with red, blue, yellow, gray and brown. It is mainly found high in the trees in the rainforest, where it is hard to see, but can also be seen in tree stands elsewhere in Suriname. It hops through the trees.

Each small square indicates the observation of at least one (group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna and red for rainforest.
