



The first photo of a Pompadour Cotinga comes from Foek Chin Joe and is taken in Suriname. The second picture is a cagebird, also from Suriname, photgraphed by Roy Tjin. It looks like a not yet fully developped third year male bird. Under it is a picture made by Pascal Dubois in French Guyane in 2002. There is also a short piece of video (5 seconds, about 0.6 MB, mpg format) with this bird and the spangled cotinga. They eat together in an indian village in the south of Suriname (taken from a video about the artist Paul Woei, as is the picture below).

Each small square indicates the observation of at least one (group) of these birds, the medium ones at least 4 observations on different days and the largest ones 10 or more. The color of each square indicates: blue for coastal area, yellow for savanna and red for rainforest.
